Christmastime is nigh and the kiddies are itching to lax.  But it’s winter.  It’s Iowa.  There is no lacrosse to be found.

But Hark!  What is that which my eyes perceive on the horizon?  Can it be?!  Lacrosse for you?  Lacrosse for me?!

Christmas is a time for happiness & laxing!

Santa’s Stick Skills 2012

Youth Lacrosse Clinic

With the 2012 Box Lacrosse League taking its midseason break over the holidays, a new opportunity has presented itself to the young laxers in Des Moines.  For the first time ever, the Central Iowa Lacrosse Association will hold an indoor clinic for boys and girls in grades 3-9.

  • What: Indoor stick skill clinic for boys and girls
  • When: From 8:00 to 9:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2012 and Thursday, January 3, 2013
  • Where: The Soccer House 3410 South 22nd St West Des Moines, IA 50265 (off the Highway 5 By-Pass)
  • Who: Boys & Girls currently in grades 3-9
  • Cost: $30 per player
  • Includes: Two one-hour instructional sessions and a commemorative t-shirt
  • Notes:
    • Registration will close on the evening of Sunday, December 1 – Firm cutoff to allow plenty of time for the t-shirt order
    • All players must turn in their parent-signed waiver/registration form or they may not participate
    • We will provide the instructors, balls, and goals
    • Players must provide their own stick; Boys’ sticks may be rented for $5 at registration
    • Pads & Helmets will not be used
    • Gloves may be used if players have them, but will not be supplied or rented
    • This is the only planned youth clinic before the summer program resumes in June due to our high school team commitments
    • Refunds will not be available after December 2
