Terriers Bite Into D1 Lax

In November, Boston University was talking about adding men’s lacrosse at the D1 level.  Not long after, I took an in depth look at the Terriers as part of my NCAA D1 Expansion Series.

Earlier today the school reported that New Balance (parent of Warrior and Brine) donated $3 million to fund the construction of a new athletics facility for field hockey and other sports.  This frees up space/time on Nickerson Field.  Now it seems that the school will be moving forward with a move to D1 lacrosse.  Inside Lacrosse and In Lax We Trust are both reporting that an official announcement will be made later today.  This move comes not long after the addition of Furman University to the varsity ranks.

Given New Balance’s early involvement, expect the team to be outfitted with lacrosse sticks and lacrosse pads from Warrior and/or Brine.

Maybe they’ll start selling no-show socks?

Adrenaline “Awareness Guru” Peter Dante?? As in the guy who plays a stoner in every crappy Adam Sandler movie? This from the company that only sells “lax bro” gear? I’m pretty aware that Adrenaline Lacrosse are massive hypocrites in this case and should just stick to selling socks
