Wartburg Adds Lacrosse

Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa recently announced the addition of women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport.  The team will pay its first season in the spring of 2015. Wartburg is the third Iowa school to add women’s lacrosse at the NCAA D3 level.  Fellow Iowa Intercollegiate Athletics Conference members Dubuque and Loras announced the addition of women’s lacrosse just over a year ago.  Dubuque will field the state’s first NCAA men’s team beginning in the 2014 season.
