Lost somewhere in the shuffle this weekend, Cornell College in Mt. Vernon (fairly close to Iowa City) announced that they will add both men’s and women’s varsity lacrosse beginning with the 2014-15 season. Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa recently announced the addition of women’s lacrosse as a varsity sport.  The team will pay its first season in the spring of 2015.
