Ho ho ho!  Laxy Claus visited my house over Christmas, bringing a couple of pieces of gear for my enjoyment.  Last week I shared pics of my new cleats, but what would a visit from Laxy Claus be without a stick or two?

While not the latest gear on the market, Laxy Claus managed to find some decent stuff on the clearance rack.  Up first is the the Reebok 7k shaft:

Not only is this my first composite stick, it is also my first stick with textured grip.

Equipped with a 6k head, this is also my first stick with six diamond mesh (the stringing has been tweaked since this photo was taken).

I am excited to give this stick a whirl, but I doubt it will become my gamer – at least outdoors.  Since we are on the tail end of the 2011-12 Central Iowa Lacrosse Association Box Lacrosse League, I plan to finish the season with this stick.  Tomorrow night’s pick up games will be its maiden voyage.

Bonus: My house wasn’t the only stop Laxy Claus made!  He also swung past my in-laws to deliver a Warrior R10 and Mojo X to my brother-in-law and box teammate.  This is his first stick (he has been using one of my backups) and he was definitely excited.
