After two months of practices and games, the Valley Tigers wrapped up their regular season on Saturday at Millard West. In their April meeting, both Tigers squads narrowly came away as the victors. Valley knew that Saturday morning’s varsity game could be somewhat hazardous, but the team also recognized the importance of finishing the season against a strong opponent.

Valley vs Westside
Unfortunately, Westside opted to forfeit the game originally scheduled for Sunday, May 13. While the forfeiture counts as a Valley win, I am not happy about reporting it. Worse, it appears that this is the Warriors’ second forfeiture this season; they also forfeited to Lincoln on April 25, just days after losing 20-2 to Valley.
Although there were many factors influencing this decision, losing out on a game is a bad state of affairs for everybody involved.
